The Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust (GART) was created in 1993 as a Public Private Sector Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Zambia and the Farmers of Zambia through the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU). GART was incorporated as a Trust under The Land Perpetual Succession Act (CAP 288) of the Laws of Zambia in 1998.
